About me:

Before negotiating into any dealings with any person, its always nice to know abit about them.
My names Patsy Harris, and i have been trying to set this business up for the past year since leaving college.
At college i studied a Level 3 BTEC course in Animal Care and Biological Sciences, in which i recieved the grades Distinction* Distinction* Distinction. I learnt a lot throughout the 2 years of this course, aspects such as animal behaviour; being able to spot signs of aggressivness in dogs, when they are scared and how to approach at the right times. I have also learned basic grooming and nursing skills, such as brushing, bathing, eye and ear treatments, oral medications and skin medications. Within the nursing side i have gained knowledge on different diseases seen within animals, and can also apply simple flea and worming treatments through the use of this class.

 

Whilst taking this course and prior to applying i have worked in a petshop for the past 4 years. This job has enabled me to gain knowledge of different species of animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and some species of birds. I have a wide range of knowledge linking to dietary and health aspects, so if this is something you are worried about with your pet, contact me and i can help you out.

 

For the past year, i have also worked for a dog walking company (EPT Dog walking in chesterfield) covering holidays. This is what has encoruaged me most in setting up my own business. Please take a look at the pictures from the work i have done for this lady.
